Longwood Gardens "Behind-the-Scenes Engineering" Tour
 Join fellow alums for a “behind the scenes engineering" tour of Longwood Gardens. The Longwood Operations people have arranged a fascinating tour of the facilities that will include the Fountains, Pump House, Tunnels and Boiler operations, and end with the Organ Museum. The tour, which has been specifically arranged for our group, will include historical information as well as operational details.
Arrive at 9:45 AM, meeting in the visitor Center just inside the main entrance, to the left. The Tour will begin promptly at 10:00 and will conclude near noon, after which all are invited to stay and have lunch at the café (Dutch treat) and sit together in the Founders room, which has been reserved just for us. You are also welcome to stay at Longwood and enjoy the rest of the gardens.
The number of tour spaces is limited, so sign up soon. If you have a Longwood pass, you need only pay for the tour, but you must bring your pass with you. |
